Hmmm I've never played silent hill. I'm very much into gaming though (eh well pc games anyway).

First I played Warcraft 2, then Age of Empires, then Empire Earth, then Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, then Populous, then Warcraft 3 TFT then Diablo II, and now, finally, Guild Wars. Guild Wars rocks my socks ^_^

Ha ha the first pc game i played until the latest

Went from a hello to toilet cleanliness to games to pecan ice cream back to games back to ice cream back to games and now were here lol.

I thought wow would have been a better game but after listening to this I think im gonna go get teh guild wars. Plus since so many of my friends seem to be getting I can always play with them online if need be

is guild wars better than EQ2? eq2 is pretty good, but its way too big (if u can call that a bad thing)

Those are the top mmorpg's out right now and i heard that wow and guild wars are the best out right now. And lizaveta suggests that guild wars is the clear winner against wow so i would think that Guild Wars towers over EQ2 poor eq2

more people might actually enjoy EQ2 if they had a 6800GT and a p4! i had more fun the first time i played FF11 on ps2, for like 4 months strait all day every day. but i deleted it cuz now its boring as hell. the best mmorpg is going to be a new phantasy star online for next gen systems, IF they make one, and it better be a true sequal not that crap they keep remaking with the same graphics! man that would own all cuz pso for dreamcast was the best online game ever!

Yea phantasy star online on the dream cast was amazing. Played that like every day after school. On the next gen consoles i want to see the Remade Final Fantasy VII on the PS3 and try out the new first person shooters they got going on. And the new Resident Evil 5 which has some stunning graphics. I got final fantasy 11 but dont have the graphics card to play havnt installed it yet to lazy.

hey, i actually tried installing that game a while ago. i deleted it once i saw a flash movie on how your supposed to go into some internet settings and adjust all this stuff in order for the game to work....wtf is that all about? i was too paranoid to do it, i mean why the heck cant they make the game work like ALL other games? no wonder its free, there must be a hidden agenda.

Ok, Guild Wars -does- have its bad points:

1. Many people take advantage of Drokar's Forge armor (max armor in the game), when they just enter Ascalon (basically the beginning of the game), making it harder to pvp for those people that are actually -new-. In the first PvP arena (Ascalon Arena), the max level you can be is 10 to enter. This is to make it easier on new people and not let more experienced players mess up their gaming experience. But some people just get ran to the end of the gameby their guildmates and get max armor, max weapons, and go back in there. With me, it's not -that- common to see when I'm pushing through a new character, but it -is- there. Other than that, PvP is as even as can be.

2. No 1v1 arena. I'm hoping (along with the rest of the GW population),that they will implement this in the future. If not with the release of Sorrow's Furnace, then maybe with the next release. Some of the more hopeful players think it'll get there this weekend (PvP weekend on Guild Wars. Info about it at www.guildwars.com), but it's kinda obvious that it won't happen this soon.

3. Once you push -one- role play character through the game, get him all maxed up, it will be boring for you to start pushing another one through and going through the same quests and missions until Hell's Precipice (final mission). But to fix that, you can simply make a PvP character. PvP characters can't go in PvE areas, but can fight in the arenas and GvGs. They start out at the max level (level 20), and you can unlock skills for them with your PvE character OR you can buy skills/runes/components for them with faction (received when you PvP)

Ah that's pretty much all I can think of right at this moment....


Now here's some things that people -think- are bad that really aren't:

Level cap of 20: The max level you can get is 20. This isn't a bad thing at all. Instead of having to do the same thing over and over and grinding up the level ladder by swinging your sword back and forth, GW lets you achieve the max level with no difficulty. The thing is, ArenaNet (creators of GW) really don't want to put the focus of the game on level. After you get to level 20 (most people do this after Ascension), there is -still- lots and lots of skills to unlock, runes to equip, and weapons to improve. After level 20 is when most guilds let you GvG. Basically, getting to the level cap doesn't mean the game is over; it just opens a whole lot of new things to do.
