      Hi there!

Hello! First of all sorry if some of my posts/messages seem weird, I'm from Spain and my english level is not that high, but I guess we'll understand enough

As I've said, I'm from Spain (Granada) and I'm 16 (almost 17). I didn't know what a lucid dream was until...un month ago, so I started looking for information and I ended here. I've had only a lucid dream like two or three years ago but it does not count, so I hope I experience that soon

Well, I guess this is enough, thanks everyone who's working on this site and...yeah, see you!

Welcome to DV, GigaByte777! Nice to meet you.

Now, why would you not count that LD years ago though? I would count it if I were you. Good luck with inducing additional LDs now. Please let us know if you have any questions.

I don't count it because I didn't know what a ld was and I didn't experience it like I want now

Well, it is your choice of course whether or not to count it.

There are people who have lucid dreams before they know what LDs are. People who have a lot of LDs like that are called "natural lucid dreamers", but my understanding is that a lot of people have at least one lucid dream in their lives especially during childhood - lucid dreaming is something humans are capable of doing naturally, though it is not naturally common.

As for not counting a lucid dream though because it is not the experience that one wants: I would advise you to count lucid dreams from now on even if they do not meet your expectations at first; a lot of early lucid dreams are low awareness and low control and very short - though there are exceptions of course, people's individual experiences vary; but it is important to acknowledge those early lucid successes to yourself, to give your mind a message theat yes, this is what you are looking for, now more such experiences please and next time a bit more vivid and longer and more aware and more stable and more control please - if you chastise your mind for the early incomplete lucid dreaming experience though, and do not acknowledge that even that is a success, your mind may not give you additional lucid dreams though because you will be giving it the mixed message of "no, that's not it" which may confuse part of your mind.

Of course, I'll count them even if they're not what I expect, I just don't count that one because I didn't know about that. Btw, thanks for the advice.

      Welcome

Sounds great! I'm sure you will have a lucid dream very soon. If you need any help or can't find a certain thing on the forum just feel free to ask - I'm glad if I can help.

Enjoy your time and sweet dreams
