Hello,
I had my first lucid dream when I was very young and sporadicly have some since. (the first one was actually a nightmare: I was in an elevator, which fel down into hell, but I don't believe in hell, so I realised I had to be dreaming; i pinched my hand, because I saw it in a cartoon and woke up, that was the only time pinching worked) A few months ago I started to search information on lucid dreams, to figure out how to control them (I had a strange experience: I realised I was sleeping, but didn't dream, all my senses were gone, but I realised I was in my bed) and had more LDs since (but I'm still not very talented in controling them, I usually wake up). Last week I had a dream in which I was captured by some doctors of an evil regime that had taken over the world and started to think "please, let this be a dream" and then I realised it was, but then the evil doctors stuck a needle in my spine, it really hurt and I couldn't wake myself up! It was a very emotionaly strong and realistic dream, except when I crawled up the walls of my house when I tried to escape, and after I woke up, I even thought "did I really wake up, or have they sedated me and is this the dream?" I then searched the web for information about feeling pain in dreams (I had never felt such clear pain in a dream before) and found a discussion on this forum.
Last night I had another LD: I really had to go to the bathroom and suddenly a toilet appeared in front of me, which didn't make any sense, but I had to wake myself up to go to the bathroom, so I had no time to experiment
So then I decided to join this forum and learn more techniques and ideas for my LDs.
I am not a great poster, but more a reader.
btw. anyone can tell me if I've made some linguistic errors, because English is not my mother tongue (it's Dutch)
Greetings,
