Late August, 2012:

Doing my late night YouTube run, and trying not to succumb to the weird side, I very much failed by watching a video about lucid dreaming. Having not really heard of the phenomenon, I was able to relate it to on-and off awareness that I've always seemed to have in my dreams. I read up on it, and found a curious forum called "DreamViews". I joined, and was immediately enraptured in the friendly community. I set up a workbook in the DV Academy subforum, and set myself up with a dream journal.

Within two nights, I attained lucidity, within four, I maintained it.

It was amazing.

I learned a dictionary's worth of obscure terms, and spent the next six months becoming vaguely proficient in DILD and DEILD techniques, but I never could grasp WILD. School occurred, and I forgot about lucid dreaming, the only reminder being brief spouts of lucidity here and there.

Late October, 2013:
Over a year later, I have returned to restart my lucid dreaming, this time by incorporating WILD. I believe I have found suitable motivation, and soon it will be Summer holidays for me, so I'll have ample time to contribute.
