Smile has it really been 4 years?

Hi dream views what a familiar place!

i haven't been on this site properly for four years now, im not that 14 year old girl anymore.
I was extremely passionate about this site and everything that it taught, i would have been in year 9 when i made the account and now im 18 years old graduated high school and now im onto my second year of university studying psychology.

I thought i would start fresh and leave behind the embarrassing posts i made in the help section and my over sexualised and horrific nightmares...
i have fallen into a bit of a routine now with some of the W.I.L.D steps i use it every night predominately to relax my self and to be able to fall asleep much quickly and deeply.
and now that im on holidays from uni till march ( YUP HOW AWESOME?? ) i thought i should get back into it. I have attainted lucidity a few times randomly but not purposely.

im glad im back i cant wait to look through all the new techniques that have risen in the past 4 years.

I'm pretty much in the same position as you are, except I didn't sign up for this site when I first heard about lucid dreaming years ago. I got back into it only about a week ago, and it's been absolutely great. WILDing is the hardest technique, but it gives the best results in my opinion. You seem to have had some experience with it previously and have a lot of spare time to do this, so I recommend you look into techniques that help you enter a dream from the steps you have already been using. DILDs are also good, but are not as vivid and I feel that they are harder to control, but it's up to you what induction method you what to use; whatever works best.

i agree wilding is pretty hard! i had my body trained really well when i was younger and i would get so deep into it and only a few times gain lucidity i usually ended up dreaming what i wanted to dream without the control aspect it usually just got an idea and rolled with it.
i have fallen into a habit of using it to sleep quickly and now that i try to attempt it i dont get to the visual hallucinations, sounds, or any altered perception... so i think i need a change.
i don't think il try out some techniques yet my dream recall is pretty bad when i was younger i had it up to 6-12 detailed dreams a night now its only 1-3 dream fragments.

my journal is on its way!
