Thread: Hello all

Hello everyone, my name's Louise, i found your site whilst looking for some information on sleep paralysis....find it quite strange that there is a post explaining how to induce sleep paralysis....because it just kind of happens to me and the first time it was not a pleasent experience at all....i thought i was dying and i had a panic attack which i don't normally suffer from. The only way i can explain what it is to say that it felt like an outer body experience...almost like i woke whilst my soul was elsewhere.....i could see my room and reality with my eyes yet i could also see and experience what was going on in my mind...i felt a floating sensation then i felt like i was being dragged backwards through the air....this was accompanied with a whoosing sound in my head, and fear as i didn't know what was happening to me... i couldn't physically move...or shout....but i was awake and aware. This has happened to me at least once a month since then.....sometimes it's a nice experience sometimes it isn't.
I didn't really know how to catogorise myself on my profile in terms of dreaming ability.....i've never been taught how to lucid dream....or astral project..but i do regularly....i generally understand all my dreams.....and i interpret for others though i firmly believe that no one is better qualified to interpret a dream than the dreamer themself. I've always been interested in my dreams and i pay attention to them.....they offer me a lot of information.....where the information comes from.?........who knows.....i have a very open mind......always willing to accept new concepts or explanations....i won't go into what my beliefs are as yet......but i never just believe something because it sounds correct or sounds interesting.....i form beliefs on experience.

Anyway....nice site...looking forward to reading some interesting posts...and contributing.
