As for your question about WILD, I think practising it before sleep might increase your chance of having an LD later on. Your mind will be focused on LDing and its more likely this will return in your dream then. But, if this is the case it might be more effective to just think about LDing for a while before you go to sleep. However, this allows you to practice WILD aswell, and I personally believe that WILD is one of the most effective ways to reach lucidity But it's rather hard for most people to WILD right away when they go to bed (without getting some sleep first)
