Hey all,

I first heard about lucid dreaming a few months ago, and have had a couple of dreams where i became lucid but not much more. Then about a week ago I had this amazing experience. I'd been up all night writing an assignment for uni that was due the next day. When i finally went to bed i felt really tired but found it hard to stop my mind from actively buzzing around.

I thought the best way to relax would be to do some rythmic breathing, and this is when I found myself being consumed by layers of darkness, accompanied by vibrations iwith flashing images and a humming sound in my ears. At the time, I was completely unaware that WILD's even existed and was left with a excited but surreal sensation, but then i was soon asleep.

The same night, I had a dream induced lucid, and found i had much more control and stability than any previous dream. After some time I could feel it beginning to fade so I refocused my thoughts, but ended up lying in bed. This however was only a false awakening, which i knew was false but couldn't control. I then could feel myself lifting out of my body, and was almost completey above myself when my rational mind kicked in and told me this wasn't right, and i eventually woke up.

After reading through this site, I can't wait to have another lucid. So i'm wondering, does practicing WILD before sleep increase the likelihood of having a DILD?
