      JacobCoy9, saying "Hello!"

      Hey, all!

Lurked for a while. Been trying on-and-off for a couple years, but never been able to really do it. My problem is that I can't make RCs a habit. Not sure what I can do to change that.

So my question is this: How do YOU handle your reality checks? I've heard a lot of times that you do it every time you walk into a new room. I haven't been able to associate RCs with life, though. Like, the only time I think about doing it is when I'm about to go to sleep. I'm about to just set my phone alarm for every 30 minutes, but i feel that would get in the way of a lot of things.

      might be worth it though.

anyway, i'm glad to be here! Looking forward to chatting with you all.

      Welcome to DV!

Actually, if you're having trouble remembering to RC, some sort of mechanical reminder is a good idea. Setting a phone alarm is a bit extreme, but it might indeed be worth the hassle. There are milder reminders, though, like wearing a rubber band on your wrist; I for one carry a small smooth rock in my pocket, and do an RC whenever I notice it. Another thing you could do is spread reminders around your house -- maybe just a piece of colorful paper in each room -- that you might notice and be reminded to RC.

Good luck with your efforts, and I hope you enjoy your time here!

      Hmm... good idea.

Maybe I'll set just a simple one-vibration alarm. If I notice, I'll do it. If not - no big deal. The rubber band is a good idea. Maybe I'll just write something on my hand. That might be a good one.

      Thanks for the ideas!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Sageous has good advise. There is many ways you can remind yourself. Pretty soon it will become a habit and you will not need reminders. Happy dreams
