      not what i expect

ive done lucid dreaming for a while and i think its pretty cool. my father told me what it was called and i looked it up. i can only get certain things to happen in my dreams and when they happen they are not what i expect them to be. what can i do about this?

note: i can control my own actions fine.

Hmm...i'm going to try and help you with this one...you say you can get things to happen, but they aren't what you expect? Can you give me an example of the sort of thing that happens? I might be able to take it further then...

      Hi there!

The key for controlling the dream is not to think you can do anything - you need to know you can! At first it might be a bit difficult for your mind to accept that, but with enough experience it should be nothing of a problem.

So, my advice is to take it easy. You will have numerous lucid dreams, and in every dream you will be able to control it a bit more than in the last one.

most of that seems right but when u said in each lucid dream u can control more things i think i have to kind of disagree sometimes i can controll everything i time and then the next time nothing and i dont know much but maybe instead of comanding it to happen just expect it to happen? like when u turn on the tv u expect the tv to come on or something

Don't take it literally. It was just to highlight the point that your control will most likely increase when you get more experience and more lucid dreams.
