Greetings.

I´m not the kind of person who would usually register to forums, but uh … here I am, expanding my horizon. I’ve been a lurker here for a month … or four, but now it´s time to complete the cycle of giving and taking by contributing a little to this forum.

Dreams have always been very interesting to me.That’s why I started having a physical dream diary about three years ago. I didn´t take it very seriously though and within the first two years I had only 51 entries. I never had the desire to change my dreams because I´m deeply fascinated by the minds ability to come up with information which seems new even to yourself.

But then I had my first very long LD on the first night of this year. Since then I´ve started doing some research about LDs, got used to RCs and RRCs (kind of) and started updating my dream diary daily. I´m having some decent success with DILD and I had about 15 LDs by now.

Even when I´m lucid I still think that my dreams don´t need much influence. Of course there are some things I´d like to try while I’m at it. But the main reason why I´m LDing is to increase the “I am there” feeling so to say. I want to be aware that I´m dreaming so I won’t miss out the chance of experiencing a different reality while being fully conscious.

With that said I hope we get along fine.

It's always good to hear from a new member of the Lucid Dreaming community.

I find your approach to Lucid Dreaming commendable, and am slightly envious I was not as passive as yourself. I feel that you will have great success this way, as you will not be sidetracked from the natural beauty of Dreams by continuously trying to force them under your control as I did, and possibly squandering many LDs which could've been more beneficial to the Dreamer. Becoming more intuitive towards your sense of self is an incredibly effective way to become Lucid IMO, and I congratulate you in advance of the many milestones you will reach in the not too distant future.

P.S. Your English is not bad. I've seen many Native English speakers butcher simple sentences. You did great.

To be fair most of the times I´m lucid I try to follow one of my dream goals and failing to achieve these due to my weak dream control can become frustrating at times. But I always want the dream to be itself. If you would rather let your dreams stay natural then go for it.

Just yesterday I had a LD where a gigantic, oddly shaped airplane flew pretty close above my house. It reminded me more of a metallic dragon than a human transportation vehicle. In this moment both the dream and myself where fully “there”, those are the moments I enjoy the most.
