accidental lucid dream + dream control tips?

So recently I've become extremely interested in FILD (finger induced lucid dreaming). Last night I didn't consciously attempt to do it, I just fell asleep. Anyways at around 5 am I had a dream about learning how to lucid dream. it was pretty weird, mainly because Kevin Bacon was the instructor (don't ask ). I didn't actually become lucid, but I assume I must've woken up briefly afterwards and then began a dream. I say this because I was looking at the ceiling from the view of lying in my bed, and it was dusk outside. I just knew that I was dreaming and I did some RCs and went for a nice fly around. I know that in FILD you start your dream in your bed. So was this just a WBTB or what? I cant tell from when I went from being awake to in the dream state. Another thing is that I couldn't make it daytime outside, or really properly control it. I know this takes a while to master, but if anyone has some tips I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much if you actually bothered to read this XD

p.s. first post in this forum! wooh!

Welcome to dreamviews and congratulations on your first post

It seems you had a lucid dream! That's awesome news, and don't worry about not havin to much control over it. It's very rare that when people first start out they have good control (I know I didn't!) and second of all I think this was a DEILD. Just from what you've explained to me that makes the most amount of sense.. I've left a useful link below that you might want to check out.

      Congratulations and Welcome

Aha, It took me a while to think over all the possibilities as well, but as I said, DEIlD makes the most sense to me, and yeah, that link should be pretty useful when it comes to dream control, there are some better guides and tutorials around that might also interest you, just search dream control and you should find an abundance or knowledge.
