      Lucid Dream Kit

I have been doing a lot of research on lucid dreaming or what the east calls dream yoga. I am wondering where to start, what products to buy that are most effective for beginners.

I found this site: http://www.lucid-dreaming-kit.com/lucid-dreaming/ that sells a lucid dreaming kit that says the user will be able to have lucid dreams in 7 days, it comes with a 90 day money back guarantee.

I am not sure if any of you have heard of it and/or used it before. I am curious on a book or product to be me started in dream yoga. I have read about the Novadreamer, which is apparently no longer available, but have found the DreamMaker: http://www.wellnesstools.com/dreammaker.php. The price is not too bad, but does it work as well as the Novadreamer, it claims to actually work better, the gentlemen actually worked with Lucidity to develop the product.

Any information on how to get started would be much appreciated.

      Thank you,

      Hmmmm

I am rather skeptical about the first item. I am just a lucid beginner, but I imagine that the best way to lucid dream is to learn through the techniques hit upon on this site. Plus, it is a hefty price for something that seems pretty ify.

Of course, if you do have the money to spare for it, I guess go for it and report back how it works.

That is my two cents at least.

Second link did not work for me.

      Welcome to DV Ehyeh

Those things are quite expensive, and you can reach the same results with some work. Besides, there's no easy way to lucid dream, and you still have to learn to use those, which takes some work too.

I would suggest trying the "natural" means first. Dream journal, reality checking and induction techniques. Most likely you won't need any technical devices once you get the hang of lucid dreaming.

The guy who made the "lucid dreaming kit" is trying to make a quick buck off anything he can it seems. A little googling helped me find some of his other "amazing" products:

      http://www.subliminal-studio.com/messages/
      http://www.sleep-deprivation-cd.com
      http://www.your-goals.com/ ("Almost banned?" Haha)

I'm sure you could find more but the point is, this guy is a joke who found a market and is using fancy words and trying to seem like a modern day guru when he really isnt. I'm not saying this stuff doesnt work in theory but he's pretty much abusing it for his personal gain. I'd say avoid it and learn naturally. Plenty of people here never had lucid dreams until they took the time to learn, and they definitely didnt drop big bucks to get there.

      Good luck.

Hmm, lucid dream in 7 days, but can return in 90 days if you fail to have one by then....

Sounds a little like he is trying to make some money.

Be assured, everything you need is within you. I would find a copy of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming though.

Please feel free to ask around if you need help!

I found another website from a gentleman named Marc Vandekeere, he has supposedly made an e-book that is like a compilation of some of the best LD techniques out right now.

      http://www.consciousdreaming.com/lucid-dre...-dream-book.htm

This site is endored by Robert Bruce, and expert in astral projection. Hae anyone ever heard of Marc Vandekeere?

Ive been using this product. The quality is really good, especially the CD. It definatley works and is a much easier method than trying to master it without. About 12 years ago I was right into OBE's and had to be quite descplined to bring them on at will (lots of meditating etc). This product gets you to that point just before the vibrations very easily... that point where you fill our self just floating or sinking a little. If youve got heaps of time on your hands do what I did 12 years about read a heap of Monroe (for memory) and practice a lot, learn yoga etc etc or if you haven't got the time just buy this for almost immediate results... I have only had this product for a couple of weeks and was lucid dreaming almost immediately... but my control etc is still bad... I have read his course but have not been able to devote the time to it (thanks to my 8 month old son who tends to stuff up my sleeping pattern). Its also really cheap... for memory around $60... hey thats the price of only a couple of music CDs. Just for the record I have no ties with this company!

Wow that's really cool to hear that it works. You are the second person that I have met that said that it's a respectable product. I know the way they advertise the product is a little corny, but if it works, it works.

I am gonna give it a shot, and if it's b.s. I will just send it back to get my money. Thanx for the input Andrew I really appreciate it.

I hope Andrew isn't another spammer...we'll have to see..

I've looked up that item, almost bought it at some point, but really suspected that it was bs. It really pissed me off how it always says the last day of the sale is the day you are looking at it. I check back, and it updates. What a scam...or isn't it?

If it's a real tangible product that helps, I'd probably get it.

I hope the kit works too, I bought it yesterday. If he is spamming, who cares, there is a 90 day return gurrantee with it.

So it's not that I am losing money or anything, just some time I guess. I hope he wasn't spamming, but I guess I will find out soon enough.

When I get the program, I will do everything the directions say, I will report whether or not the program allowed me to have a lucid dream within seven days as he gurranteed it would. If I still have a lucid dream, but not with in the 7 day period, I will let you guys know, but still send it back for not getting me there in the 7 day time frame.

I'm serious when it comes to gurranteed stuff, if it doesn't work just as advertised, it's getting burned/copied and sent back with a letter of complaint.

Like I said, not matter what happens I will let you guys know.

      I ordered it too!

I ordered the 59.95 Product from Lucid Drem Kits as well. I was taken in by the 90 day money back guarantee. I will follow the directions to a Tee and report as well. I have no connection to this company. I would be glad to answer any questions regarding the product when I get it. BTW this is my first post here. Thanks for having me. I look forward to learning tons from all of you!

Yea I read his ebook. Pretty sophisticated. Basically all the basics will be in the book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge like Seeker said. You will find it easier to pick up on the basics with Stephen LaBerge books.

up yours airwick I said in my post I have nothing to do with this company!

I recently purchased the 8hour MP3 and am now looking forward to giving it a go... and will post here my feedback.

Hey Elyeh & CoralRives... I look forward to hearing your feedback. I am no expert at being lucid and hence look forward to hearing what you reckon I wish I had more time to devote to practicing lucid dreaming... lookin forward to my 8mth old son sleeping through the night!

Man, andrew, I don't think you know who you are talking to! You obviously like the idea of lucid dreaming, I know I responded the same way to people who shot down my hopes.

I myself would like to know if this kit works, if so, it'd be a real blessing. Still, let us know how it works out.

I'd definitely be interested to know if it's just a cut-and-paste of La Berge's work or if it's original.

Thanks for taking a flyer on it!

      Hey,

I was just looking at this kit before I found this site. I've been practicing for several weeks now but have been interested in lucid dreaming for a long time. I would just like to say it would be awesome if you guys gave us our opinions of this kit while you use it. I usualy am skeptical anytime a product guarantees that it will work within a specifide time period. Hope it works out.

      Thanks,

      Nick.

      Hmm...

Well, I'm not sure how ethical it is to copy all that stuff and pass it on. What IO will do is give daily updates of what the days lesson was.

I'm sure it's no harm to give us a sample of what it is. They should give a sample anyway, or else not many people will want it. It works a lot better than hype alone.

Maybe at least you can tell us if it is similar to practical dream techniques like that of Laberge's, or completely different. I've read many dream books, and they all paralell a lot. Start with dream journal, look for dreamsigns (reality checks). They only really have some subtle differences.

hey airdick... just jokin no I dont know you... should I I only said "up yours" in response to your spammer comment... thats fair enough isn't it My view is just that of a consumer as I have no finacnial incentive etc... as the term spammer implies. Obvioulsy Ive been using the product and think it is really good.... but at the end of the day it is just a tool, it makes it easier for me... but thats just my expereince. A couple of nights ago I had my best ever lucid experience..... whow ..... and I wasn't using the CD! The other night when I had my best ever lucid experience was after being woken at 2am and spending half an hour or so with a crying baby, then going back to sleep. This sounds very similar to other techniques I've seen in this forum... so I now can confirm that method to

      Just finsihed the Kit Course

I bought it and found the kit to be a concise collection of all the stuff I read here. However it gave me a chance to concentrate on one method rather than become overwelmed with too much information. It was easy reading and not too clustered with crap. The audio CD I love and the RC prompt was cool at work as thats my worst habit. I did have a lucid dream on the 7th night. COuld I have done it without the course and just by reading here? Maybe.. But Like I said, it helped me cut through a lot of information overlaod and allowed me to focus on one method one night at a time. He does reference Laberge quite often and if I read Laberge's book, I may not have needed this course. I told myself I would give it the 7 nights to get a LD or I was going to send it back and get my money back. Well, he got me. I will answer any questions you may have about this product. I am not affiliated with him in any way.

In response to DREAM_WEAVER's comment, no, there is no proven herb/drug to induce lucid dreams. Some herbs, drugs, or vitamins, can alter a person's physical or mental state, though, which can help or hinder a person from coming to a point where they realize they're dreaming.

I would caution you and anyone, though, against experimenting with anything that can alter your mental of physical state of being. I didn't say "don't", but keep in mind that whatever you put in your body will have side-effects (good or bad) and the majority of things people are using have not been clinically studied or studied to a point where we can know how it will affect us. Yah, that's it.
