      Come on in!

Well, I had better introduce myself.

Good evening, I am a 17 year old male that currently resides in the beautiful country that is New Zealand (or Aotearoa, 'Land of the Long White Cloud'). I have a simple love of sports, but an overpowering passion for soccer.

I have, for a time now, been facinated by dreaming and by the dream world, but have only really decided to investigate more about my interest recently. I came upon this site and was immediately enthralled, you might say. I find everything very interesting indeed and am very keen to experiment with this new world.

To be exact, I came upon this site three days ago, and have since had four dreams in the three sleeps I have had. I can recount the details of each dream relatively well, but I was curious... are most people able to recount in a large amount of detail, as many dreams as I have had in that kind of timeframe?

Currently my dreams seem meaningless, although I have noticed several parallels with the real world and I am itching to get to bed this very instant to further my experience

Without further ado, I think I shall bid you good night, and return - hopefully with some more exciting dreams fresh in mind - to you tomorrow morning. Sweet dreams everyone!

      Signing off.

      Hey, welcome to the board!!
You talk about parallels in your dreams with the waking world. These could be excellent points to perform a reality check within a dream, and you could go lucid.
Dream recall varies from person to person...i can go days without remembering a single dream, i may be able to recall that i was dreaming, but not the subject of it...
And then i'll go to bed one night and remember three or four!
I've sent you a welcoming PM. Feel free to PM me or another dreamguide if you have any more questions.

Wow! Thanks for the welcome - it's much appreciated

Its pretty funny that you mention sometimes not being able to recall a dream, despite knowing you have dreamed because that is exactly what happened last night

I look forward to putting together a dream journal soon - I think it's easier to compare the parallels of dreams that way Oh! Thank you for mentioning the parallels-with-the-real-world-reality-check thing, seems like a good idea - I'll be sure to try it out

Can't wait until tonight - hopefully will be able to recall other dreams, but in the meantime I'm telling friends about this site

      Until next time,
      Signing off.
