      Hi from the new guy

      Hi everybody!

I'm pretty excited about this website, and I'm not sure how I haven't come across it before. I'm 25 and live in Colorado. I just graduated from CU Boulder in August, and still have no idea what to do with my life, or even the rest of this week. But since I'm being kind of a bum right now, at least I have a lot of time to sleep.

Anyway, growing up I was always fascinated by my dreams and I had just a few spontaneous occurrences of lucidity growing up. When I was 14 I got obsessed with the idea of OBE (though I don't remember being that strange of a kid) and went lucid intentionally for the first time that year while practicing techniques from Sylvan Muldoon's The Projection of the Astral Body. I went lucid in the doorway to my bedroom the first time. I remember looking at the grain of the wood and thinking how perfect it was, and wondering how this entire world could possible be inside my head while I am asleep in bed. Very intense.

So I'm very excited to read everyone else's thoughts and experiences and share some of my own. Not many of my friends are interested in lucid dreaming, so it'll be nice to talk to a group of people who don't think I'm completely nuts...yet.

      Welcome to the forum!
Yeah, same here, not many of my friends are interested in that either. Just keep the OBE talk in the Beyond Dreaming forum, & you'll fit in very well!

Thanks for the welcome both of you!

If I mention obe in the future I will do it in the appropriate place. I only mentioned it in my intro because it was those techniques that resulted in my first lucid dreams. Anyhoo, I'm off to try and catch up on all of the thousands of conversations going on in different posts, and see what my juvenile mind can absorb!
