Hi Dan, and welcome!

I picked up Daniel Love's book on a recommendation too. I'm not done with it yet (half-read books make up the fabric of my life) but I really like the straight-forward, down-to-earth approach of what I've read so far. It's definitely one of the better ones out there.

As for sleep, as you've been noticing, it's a lot more interesting when you begin to pay close attention to it. It involves such a wide range of experiences that most people just overlook.

Congratulations on your band's success! One way you might use lucid dreaming is as a source of inspiration for your songs. I've found lucidity to be a strangely musical state... melodies arise almost effortlessly. And I'm speaking as someone with no musical skills at all in waking life. I imagine a musician could find great song ideas in the dream state. Just make sure to write them down or record them promptly! The memories fade all too easily after waking up.

Enjoy the forums, and I hope to see you around!
