      Hello everyone, just joined up

      Hello

Hmm, not sure where to start in my introduction, so maybe I should just give some background information as far as my experiences with lucid dreaming.

To my knowledge, I have not had a lucid dream, but ever sense I learned it was possible I have been wanting to really be able to do it. What got me searching the net, which resulted in finding this forum, was what I could remember of a beautiful dream I had last night.

Recently, I have been focusing on dream recall. I am starting to have sucess, remember fragments of my dreams ever sense I started. This must have resulted in my beautiful dream last night im sure. I wont give details, as it was a personal girlfriend-boyfriend dream , don't worry, its probably not what your thinking. But I do remember saying something that made me wonder if I had a lucid dream. I said something to my boyfriend, I think it was something like "I bet you will remember this when you wake up." which is certanly something I would say to him if I knew I was lucid dreaming and hoping we are sharing a dream. I haven't spoken to him about the dream yet, as we are in different countries at the moment and he hasn't come online yet.

I know most of you might not be interested in the magickal aspect of dreams, and that's cool, but I really do hope to accomplish a shared dream with my boyfriend. He has fortelling dreams, and I really believe him. And we do dream of each other a lot, well, as far as the few dreams im starting to remember it's a lot. And he does dream of me a lot too.

My dreams are always very unusual. Very artistic, abstract, fantasy-like. Creative is a good word to describe them. They are beautiful, unusual, and just...wow. In the dream I had with my boyfriend, before it got personal, we started out in some kind of letter/art supply store. It was like the inside was filled with sand, and I remember red, purple, and maybe dark pink fabrics hanging from the walls in a beautiful way. I guess it was a fantasy arabian knights kind of thing. Very odd too, considering I like the European/celtic Wizard/dragon kind of fantasy much better. But what I can say is, and this is my point, is it was beautiful. I am amazed I can dream up such things, I really wish there was a way to show people these places and things.

I just remembered another dream I had, it was a kind of crevice in the mountains where a river flowed. And along the clif near the river was a little bathtub-sized pools and I was sitting in it, and there were little blue gemstone marbles in the water. It was almost monochromatic with blue's and maybe black, but wow it was beautiful.

Anyway, i'll stop there. Hope to be able to share a successful lucid dream in the future, and maybe more.

hi welcome to the forum, for focusing on dream recall, make sure you keep a dream journal because it helps you improve your recall and recognise dreamsigns, if you dont allready keep one you can start an online one here.

I know most of you might not be interested in the magickal aspect of dreams[/b]
a lot of people here are interested in all aspects of dreaming evan if it is stuff like deja vu and sharing dreams with other people.

Thanks, I shall consider that. I really don't have the time in the morning to write at the moment though. I find myself waking up with 20 minutes to get ready for work and college. Not good, eh? lol. So what I do is as soon as I wake up, and from then on, I focus on recalling my dream in every possible detail. I block out all the clutter that suddenly recollects as best I can, and really focus while I get changed, make breakfast, and even start work. If I have a spare break from work, I will E-mail my boyfriend my dream, which is partaly writing it down.

I'll tell you what though, that clutter loves to zap back into my mind, any ideas for stopping it? I usualy wake up, and suddenly a song is playing in my head like its stuck there. Or just thoughts, its mad. Like a blocked sink finally uncloged or something. I think that's what's causing my dream recall to go down a bit.

I was very lucky to remember, what may be my first lucid dream. I completely forget it, not a trace, just how I felt left over. I was so ticked. Then, I thought about my boyfriend and how I think I will look really nice for him when he visits me. Then it hit me, he was in my dream, and it all came back in a big wash.

      Welcome to Dreamviews. 8)

I recommend a dream journal as well. You won't believe how beneficial it is to becoming more familiar with your dreams and using that to attain lucidity.

Hehe. I think you'll fit in just fine, here.
And I know what you mean about the headclutter in the morning. After a while, especially after starting to keep a dream journal, you'll probably find yourself giving yourself more time in the morning (waking up earlier) just so you can have a few minutes to think about what you dreamed during the night.
