Good evening.
Yes, I know there are many topics that cover this and they all get more or less the same answer, you dream but you don't remember it bla bla.
Well, wrong. This year for example I had 4 dreams in total. When I do actually dream, although I can not recall lal of the action, I am aware that I was dreaming when I wake up. The rest of the time, not. No REM sleep, no dream. No rem sleep/dream equals waking up tired and like you've slept for nothing. Check. But here.. here comes the fun part
5 years ago I had my first seizure. I've had EEGs and the whole batch of tests showing absolutely nothing. No simptoms relating to epilepsy, no damage, no nada. Fun part is, I would always get them guess when.. that's right, mornings when the brain should be in REM sleep. Coincidence ? I think not.. For many years I've had weird sleep patterns, going to bed late, sleep 3 4 hours a night or 12 14 after 2 days being up. We all have crazy lifestyles at some point, keep your judgement to yourself please. I have had about 7 seizures in this time, all during sleep, all during the same time. nocturnal epilepsy they call it, or at least that's what they try because there are not enough data or studies on this and it's rare from what I could gather. Medication the past year eradicated the seizures but.. you don't quite want to know all the side effects of anti-epileptic drugs.
My question is this ? Would another RMN clear up any doubts ? Having a sleep study while on these pills wouldn't be irrelevant ? And back to dreaming, can all of these, the sleep patterns, lack of dreams for years and tiredness after waking up contribute to my condition ( which all doctors just say.. that they basicly have no clue what it is exactly, they're epileptic seizures but I don't actually have epilesy, which sounds retarded to me.. ) ?
Thank you.
