Thumbs up Hi I am Kaj!

      Dear lucid dreamers,

Thank you letting me join this forum. My name is Kaj, currently 23 years old and I have been practicing and studying Lucid Dreaming for almost a year now. My attempts have not been unrewarding, although I'm not able yet to hold my lucidity for longer then a couple of minutes. During waking life I am a student doing some 'multimedia design' related study wich is pretty awesome, I love making music, art and to do some work in the garden. My study is awesome because it let's every student learn what it wants to learn, so I am doing my graduation project on lucid dreaming. What I am exactly going to do is still unsure, because I'm still in the research phase. So I guess you now know the two main reasons I joined this forum. 1. Because I could really use some help on this topic and I can learn a lot from the people on here.. and 2. Because, if that is possible and allowed, I would like to ask some questions I can use for my research. After my research-phase I will probably try to develop/design products and tools that could help beginning lucid dreamers to kick it of. I ofcourse know that practice and experience is the best product, but I am hoping there are some gaps I could fill and help the community of oneironauts. Oh yea.. and graduate at the same time. If some of you would like to share their experiences as a lucid-dreamer newbie and how you overcame certain obstacles, that would be really awesome!

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I have some questions for the administrators.
      1. What would be a good approach towards interviewing people on here for my research?
      2. What if I might turn (one of) these products I develop into a commercial product/bussiness. Would that be in violation of any rules if it was created with the help of researchresults from this forum? ( I have read some guidelines about it, but I am still shrouded in doubt. )

For the rest I would like to say that I think it is awesome this forum exists. I would love to see the day when Lucid Dreaming is a common practice and by connecting and sharing stories/experiences it can only grow more!

Hey kjaj, welcome to Dream Views! \o/

I'm João Pedro (aka JPDreeamnz), 25yo and is really great to know someone is doing a graduate research about lucid dreaming.

A year studying LD is some damn experience, so you are well know to terms and techniques. I think you'll learn a lot from people here and they for sure will help in anything you may ask (well, anything is a strong word. Let's say almost everything hahaha)
For your research you can read dream journals and talk to people, make some friends, maybe you'll find someone that fits your study purpose.
The only thing that the community will ask back is your share of the whole, I mean to you to contribute too
because the moment you sign up here, well, you're our bro hahaha
As a new bro you should visit the areas in the forum =D

A quick tip: The Lounge is where you'll make some good funny people and in General Dream Discussion you can ask anything without feeling misplaced

About the 2 questions for the administrators, you should go to the home page and in the bottom is listed all the nicknames with admins included. Choose one and PM him about your doubts.
I hope to be of some help ^^

Welcome again, share with us! =D

I believe you are welcomed to do such research. It will be appreciated that you do not share your results with other lucid dreaming communities, that it is for you only research and projects.

Also, we will appreciated if you provided a source-link to Dreamviews in your project Other than that, as long as it is within dreaming - lucid dreaming and has no weird drama-fear-inducing material (especially if you are touching the sleep paralysis, rem atonia, hypnagogic, etc.

Good luck and welcome to DV!
