      1. I don't really know. I'm not really a promoter of using substances to affect one's mental state. I have nothing wrong with substances that have been tested (like vitamins and some well-known natural... things) and can be directed, but there are many things out that could be hazardous. Just be careful if you're experimenting. I know there's a couple of posts around here on Calea Z if you want to search for it.

      2. No. I don't believe so. A dream is merely a reflection of one's waking life, producing images and scenarios that are not affected by outside stimuli. That's one of the reason they can tell you about yourself. However, I am loathe to believe that death in a dream is truly harmful. It can evoke powerful emotions, that is true, but unless it is something truly out of the ordinary and doesn't seem to stem from any part of waking life, I wouldn't worry about it. And how would you tell if a part of you was "killed"?

I'm willig to admit that dreams can change people's lives, such as a dream involving death may cause a person to place a greater value on their life or the lives of others. The only ways you could lose a part of yourself is if someone did something harmful to you that caused you to change or you made a conscious decision to let go of a part of your life.

That's just my opinion and it's open to discussion.

Welcome to DV! (that was longer than I'd intended)
