      Power of the Mind?

hi I was wondering if it is possible to do things if your mind is in full concentration. let me expand. if you think that you are in a dream and accually awake, could you then do things you normally can't? say a pushup, if you can't. i herd with full concentration you can acheive things that you normally think that you cant do. anyway, i'm kindof rambeling thanks for reading, i hope u can answer some of my 'questions.

I don't think concentration has anything to do with extraordinary actions in real life.
I think it's more down to adrenaline.
I remember a few years ago, a story floating around, that a mother realised her kid was trapped under a car. She lifted the car up enough for the kid to crawl out

pcp can also explain a lot (particulary the ancient celts)
The Celt Berserkers used to have war-paint slapped all over them to syke them up and intimidate the enemy
when in full swing, the berserkers would have feelings of strength, power, invulnerability, and a numbing effect on the mind.
Historians reckon the plants used to make the war paint were those used to produce pcp

Yes, just think about all those asian guys. Of course your mind is the one thing that controls your body, so if you know how it works, you can improve bodily performance.

What do you mean by "you are in a dream and accually awake" ?
      You mean daydreaming ?
Or iF you're in a dream and conscious(that is Lucid Dreaming), hell yeah, you can do whatever you can imagine ... did you read anything in that forum ?
If you do mean one can change one's real (awake) life thanks to LDs, that bit i don't know nothing about.

Hope you'll find what you seek around here!

The mind is a powerful thing, obviously. If you are awake, often just visualizing yourself doing something that you haven't done (if it's within limits) then with enough confidence you can do it. As Paulo was saying, in dreams once you realize that you're dreaming and become lucid, depending on your strength of will, you can do pretty much anything you desire.

If you're having trouble doing anything, let us know and we can try to give you some ideas to help you out. There are also tutorials on dream control if you haven't checked those out.

By that You mean the indian/tibetan yogis?
      Anyways, <!--QuoteBegin-StarGazer

this actually is the ulitmate purpose of yoga, to confirm yourself that the Waking State is as equally real (or as equally illusional) as the Dream State. And by succeeding in this task, one gains the ability to perform the same things in waking life as in dreams.

      Hi!

The body even blocks any action originated in the dream and brought into reality, through sleep paralysis. To bring dream powers into reality is more challenging...

But yoga and meditation, I agree with psychedelic, makes something even more powerful: mesh the two realities into One.
