      Cool Hello everyone!

      Hi!

I had my first lucid dream when I was a kid. I can still remember the dream vividly. I was sitting in a bus when I suddenly came to a realization that I was dreaming. I naturally wanted to try flying so I managed to teleport myself on the nearest rooftop and jumped off. Things didn't go as planned and I woke up just before hitting the ground At the time I thought what I experienced was cool, but didn't really think much of it. I continued to have some very mysterious and bizarre dreams, which I still remember vividly to this day, but never a lucid one.

A few weeks ago I came across an article about lucid dreaming on Reddit. I started researching and found out that not only can you use them for just pure fun, but also for self-learning and "soul searching", if you will. Not so long ago my life got thrown upside down and that left me confused and with questions about who I am. I thought to myself maybe I can seek the answers I want from my dreams! Next day I walked to the nearest bookstore and bought some pencils, an eraser, a journal and a book on lucid dreaming co-written by Robert Waggoner and a Finnish author Anna Riihimäki. The book is named 'Onko tämä unta?' (translation: 'Is this a dream?') for any interested fellow Finns

I just started the 4th week on my journey and my dream recall has returned to my childhood levels, averaging on 2-3 dreams recalled per night. Those bizarre and mysterious dreams have also returned. Just yesterday I saw a dream of an old man dressed in black, standing in frozen tundra with nothing around him. Someone handed him a black amulet with two distinct symbols on it, which I recalled and drew on my dream journal when I woke up. I've also noticed people dressed in black clothing seems to be a constant thing in my dreams. Last but definitely not the least I've also had 3 lucid dreams in the past 7 days, where I have been mostly just continuing my flight lessons

Anyways, I'm off on my quest to self-learning and figuring out what the hell my dreams are about. It's nice to be here and thanks for reading!

Moi! Nice to see another Finn joining the site (though we're probably the only two Finns here at the moment heh). If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, we're here just for that; to help you become lucid.

That's right, you can indeed search answers for any questions while in a lucid dream.

There's a Finnish book about lucid dreaming? Never heard about it until now, might just check it out! Thanks for the tip!

You could use that as a dream sign. Whenever seeing someone in full black clothing try asking yourself if you're dreaming. That could make you lucid at some point.

3 LDs in a week is great progress! Keep it up and wishing you lots of more lucids!

No problem! It delves mostly in the psychological side of lucid dreaming, but there's some cool tips on how to manipulate your dreams and some small exercises.

Great idea! Thankfully there is no shortage of black clothed people around these parts
