How did you become interested or aware of lucid dreaming?

For me it was watching "Waking Life"

I became aware of them when I started having them. Later I found out through the Internet that there was a name for it.
“The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams” —Rush

I had them all the time when I was a kid, I still have non-induced Lucid dreams with some frequency. A few years ago a HIstory techer of mine started teaching the class about Lucid dreaming, ad thats how I found out it had a name. One day I was looking on Google and found this site.

Found out about lucid dreaming from, strangely enough, an off topic post on a gaming console website. Finally put a name to an experience I had that was indeed a lucid dream.

      Found DV from google

      Heard it through the grapevine

I was discussing culture with an associate when the topic of spirituality came up. He told me about a culture that believed the waking world was not real and that the dreamworld was reality. The people would tie silver strands around thier limbs or waists to keep thier dreamspirit attatched to this world as they slept. I though it interesting and ended reading about dreams and dream beliefs. Eventualy I found Laberge's Guide to Lucid Dreaming and have been hooked since.

I've always had very vivid dreams and started looking into analyzing them. I've known the term for a while, but it was reading Private Myths by Anthony Stevens that really got me interested in concertedly trying to up my dream recall and lucid dreaming.
