Hi Everyone....New at this whole thing

I wanted to let everyone know that I have very much enjoyed all the posts, insight, and education I have gotten over the past weeks.

I was somehow drawn to search on the internet for such topics, and I found myself here. It may have stemmed from me exploring my very early stages of teleK abilities.

Anyway, I have been trying to project for a little while, and I seem to be having the same issues as a lot of others. I have read all the facts, books, and scoured the internet in search for that one thing that might get me over the edge and out! I still have not found it.

I can relax very easily and quickly, and can get almost paralyzed. My biggest issue is I dont seem to be able to get out. Sometimes no matter what I try I just lay there. Recently, I know my body is asleep, and my mind is awake, but then suddenly, I hear myself snore, and I get back to the same state. CAN ANYONE please help me? What am I doing wrong or not doing right?

Also, Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Lucid Dreaming and Astral/OBE?

Thanks so much to all, and I wish everyone the best.

      Regards,

      Dave

Hey WeaAreOne, Welcome to the forum

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Lucid Dreaming and Astral/OBE? [/b]
To be honest im not so sure there is a difference, although i know other members might disagree. From the experiences ive had, experiences alot of people would describe as astral projections, Im becoming more and more convinced they're simply WILDS (wake initiated lucid dreams).

Answering your question without contaminating it with my views however:

Lucid dreaming is a state in which a dreamer becomes aware s/he is dreaming and through that usually gains a certain amount of control over the experience.

Out of body experiences and astral projection are said to happen when the soul/conciousness actually leaves the physical body allowing the person to explore there surroundings body-free so to speak. With astral projection there's alot tied into it... such as astral planes and so forth, information can be found on google if not from another member here.

My biggest issue is I dont seem to be able to get out.[/b]
So from the information above you can see lucid dreaming isnt about getting out. If your plan is to achieve a wake initiated lucid dream (falling asleep and into a dream conciously) then a good tutorial can be found here:

I can tell you that if you succeed in WILD'S your experience will be much the same as you would imagine an OBE to be.

Anyway good luck, keep up the practice and dont just take my word for it (especially the OBE vs LD thing, thats something im still experimenting with today). From what you say Its clear your very close to achieving WILDS already.
