      first LD but little control

My litle sister just found out about lucid dreaming yesterday and had her first lucid dream last night. She dreamed that a man with a gun was in the house. She tryed to will him away, but he was still there. Any tips for gaining more controll over people and surroundings in dreams? She said that her thoughts were very fuzzy and unclear. She also then decided that she wanted to drive a car but mom was there so she got scared of getting caught. How can she gain more controll over her dreams? Any tips would be helpfull we only just learned that this was possible to controll LDs.

If you want something to happen, you have to expect it to happen. Hoping it to happen, or intending it to happen isn't enough. You have to actually believe it will happen. If you have any doubts about it, there's a significant chance it won't.

the best way is to keep telling yourslef, that everythign you see and hear and smell, is you. You are just nto your body in you dreasm. IN fact your body isnt even real. YOu are the drit, sky wind, music, and the flow and the amroma. ahev no fear and knwo that you are all powerful.

Well, not quite "all powerful". You can't affect anything in the real world (barring a few weird occurrances that would best belong on the "Beyond" board)... But you can do anything, be anything in your dream world--like being the author of a story, or the director of a movie.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think of it, you can affect things in the "real world" by affecting yourself--for example, lucid-dreaming about speaking to an audience to help overcome stage fright... overcome nightmares by taking control of them... and of course you can wake yourself up.
