Hi guys!
Some not dreaming related information about myself: I am 18 and going to college soon for astrophysics. I enjoy reading sci-fi and philosophy. I'm a foodie but also love going to the gym and living a healthy lifestyle. I share my home with 5 cats, 1 dog, 1 leopard gecko, and 2 rats. I also love video games (EVE Online) and hiking.
I would call myself an intermediate lucid dreamer. I have multiple every week, however they all happen as sudden realizations in my dreams. This has happened since my childhood, but has recently happened more as I have incorporated reality checks. My go to reality check is looking at how many fingers are on my hand. It took a while for this to become a habit, but now I am able to perform it more consistently.
One of my favorite things to do in lucid dreams is flying. If I find myself in store, I also like wreaking havoc and knocking everything down, lol. But while I have gotten pretty good at becoming lucid, I struggle staying lucid. I get distracted with things that I was already doing in the dreams, and fall back out of lucidity. Or other times I become too excited and wake myself up. So calming myself down and taking in the dream, and making conscious decisions on what I should do next is something that I am working on!
Recently, I have even tried to meditate in a lucid dream to induce astral projection, but woke up.
SO anyways, I have had a long history with lucid dreaming but I still have more practice to do!
I am really excited to be here. I look forward to learning more and chatting with you guys.
