Is it possible that you can say to yourself in a dream, "Hey, I'm asleep, I'm still dreaming" (in my case repeatedly) and it's really only a part of the dream? I am very confused about this, I could swear that I'm realizing that I'm dreaming, but I don't seem to retain any lucidity at all. Granted, last night was one of the first nights I tried it, but I want to know before I try any harder. |

If you tell us what happened after that bit then we would get a better idea if you were lucid dreaming. The one I just had (my first one as well) had me all of a sudden realizing im dreaming, and i would have thought it part of the dream except I remember getting really excited, and could feel my heart beating really fast (Ive never felt my heart beat in a dream before) and then everything went black and I remember rubbing my hands together trying desperately to stay asleep, but I could only concentrate on what it felt like as I had nothing to look at, as I regained conciousness it felt like I was in water folating up to the surface, and Ive never realized I was waking up. |

I can't say I really know anything about what you're talkinga bout , but I said plausible because of that incredibly cool blind spot trick .
