      Hello everyone.

Hello, i'm new to the forum and I geuss making an introduction here would be a good idea.
I'm new to Lucid Dreaming and I found out about it when I was curious about what dreams were. I have very bad dream recall and I usually don't remember a thing when I wake up, even though I keep pen and paper next to the bed and I go to it right when I wake up. Lucid Dreaming at first seemed impossible to me, until I noted the sincerity of the site. If anyone has any ideas on how to improve dream recall, I would be very thankful. -Valvo

Spend at least 5 minutes every morning lying in bed, without moving a muslce. Very important to stay still and think about your dream. That should be the first thing you think of when you wake up. When you can get into the habit of thinking of that first, your recall will improve quicker than you can imagine. Even if you cant remember your dream when you wake up, stay still and just try and think of "where you just were". And write down even the smallest detail. No detail is unimportant. The more you can write, the more youll be surprised by how much you can rememeber.

Welcome to DV and dont give up! I highly reccomend using the WBTB method(click my signature mario pic for the tutorial). Even if you dont have a lucid dream, using this technique would make it very easy to remember your dream.

Hi Valvo. I'm a new member too.

When I first started to seriously attempt dream recall, I was just too lazy to actaully write anything. When I woke up I'd just lay there and let the dream drift back to me. Whatever image first popped into my head, I would say out loud what it was and repeat it at least 5 times.

Most of the time, later in the morning, I'd be able to reacall more of the dream just by saying that one word out loud again. I wouldn't be able to recall the entire dream, but would remember the major theme of it. It was a start.

Worked for me. Maybe it'll work for you?

Welcome again. Hope your dream recall gets better.
