When you have a lucid dream... are you conscious that you're dreaming... or dreaming that you're conscious... |

"There are two types of people in this world, people who think there are two types of people, and people who don't."
My idea of lucidity is that you are aware that you're dreaming. So you know that you're really laying in bed, sleeping and dreaming. You also know that you can do anythng you want in your dream and it won't matter because you're dreaming - and that's where good dream control comes in. Just because you're lucid doesn't mean you'll have an easy time controlling the dream. Hope that helps! |

The definition of lucid dreams refers to consciousness during dreams.. being conscious that you're dreaming. It's interesting though to think about it the other way too. |

When I have what I believe to be a LD I know 100% that I am sleeping. my mind is as clear as if i was awake . I know where I was sleeping and who was sleeping next to me when I went to sleep . |

You don't necesarilly have to have a false awakening to do a reallity check and fail it... you can do it at any point in a dream and fail.. or you can be lucid and still not observe all the weird elements in the scenery... |
