      Hey

Hi there. I'm entirely new to the whole Idea of lucid dreaming, and havn't ever encountered one before. The idea of lucid dreaming is incredibly interesting, and I can see many practical uses for it. I also have a few theories I can attempt once I get into the practice.

      General Info about me:
Im 15 years old, male, live in liverpool, and thats all that occurs to me at the moment. I am trying a lot of the techniques on this site to achieve lucid dreaming although i've yet to see any results.

      Well, thats all for now.

      Welcome, friend.

It's great that you have your own experiments and theories prepared. That's the best way to approach lucid dreaming, in my opinion. Don't go "by the book." Proceed as you feel comfortable, learn things in a way that best suits you, and don't be afraid to question already existing theories and concepts. Take your time and stay committed.

      Have fun,

      D

Well, I read through a lot of the material on this site before deciding anything. A lot of things i've seen are contrradictory, So as far i'm working with what can be considered fact.

I've read material on several sites, but material between them difffers. One thing bothers me though. I'm kind of an insomniac, what being incapable of sleeping some nights and not sleeping until 4 am at least some others. Will this affect my dreaming?

When I dream, I am free.

Insomnia can indeed effect dream recall. A good nights rest is a good way to have a normal REM cycle. So altered sleep patterns do not create a good environment for dreaming.

I suggest you check out the Sleep Disorders Tutorial.

It has information about Insomnia and some help links that may answer some of you questions.

umm, for the frist week or so my dream recall waa fine, but now I can't seem to recall any whatsoever. There was one I didn't record simply because if was far to strange, but other than that...
