This sounds like me. I've been having LD's and controlling my dreams since I was very young. I don't really understand why I can do this. I am trying to figure out what I do so I can teach others.

I'd say i'm a lucid student. I've had LD's before but not on purpose and they were a long time ago. I do have pretty good recall though.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Celebrating the fifth year anniversary of you asking me this question.

Yeah, I'm also a cross between lucid beginner and student... Maybe there should be another option?

      I'd say I'm a lucid Scholar =D
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

Is this somehow mandatory ,or is it an only reccomended system of letting those around you know how experienced you are? You may still keep your custom title yes?

I think I fall under the Lucid Student category....
I've had one very good lucid dream where I got to fly around my school. And I've got a pretty good grasp on the concept I think. I hope to climb as high up the ranks as possible!

A question for the mods/admins: Will the Lucid Title thing like in the old forum ever return? It is one of the things I really miss, and it was way more useful than Lucid Age, as age just means how long since you've had an LD, and says nothing of ability.

Hi Everyone!!!!! I guess I am a lucid knight or maybe even a lucid god- however I won't claim any proper expertise- only personal experience. I have been dreaming lucidly since I was very young, was addicted (literally) as a teenager, and didn't realize this was a practiced thing until I was 20 something. I'm glad to know now that others share this passion and I do study it, though I always feel it is just a recognition of what I know. I used to think I was a weirdo- my dreams used to consume me- now they are small escapes. Remember- I had an addiction to this though- sometimes I feel it coming back. I have been able to experience every sense at once and the "spinning" thing happens naturally for me. Heck, maybe I am a weirdo. I can tell you though, there ARE side effects for some of us. I get headaches after really intense lucid dream. I have had my heart stop- and woke with pain. I don't get restful sleep and I have spiritual dreams that are hard to shake.
Anyhow- glad to be here... I think I can contribute some- at least some REAL good dream stories!!!!!!
Currently dreaming on: Starting a non-profit gallery in NY and a typical romance thing... cept I keep playing this uninterested role- even though I am???

I guess I am a Scholar, but I don't know how to put it on my title.

      My First Lucid Dream:
I've read about Lucid Dreaming a lot in the past few years, but had never really made a completely whole hearted effort, mostly because I have nearly zero recall and have been plagued by insomnia for more than a year. However, two days ago, on Saturday, 21 April 2007, I had a real lucid dream and am very excited to try to have more.
      My dream was as follows:
I dreamt that I woke up, but there was a very loud, constant buzzing noise in my head. At first I was trying to figure out where that noise was coming from, but then it occured to me that I could be dreaming. I'd read on this or another similar website about trying to cover your mouth and nose and try to continue breathing as a method of testing this, and decided that I should try that. At first there was a little resistance, but then I took a very deep breath, through my hand. I got very excited, and tried to calm myself down to see what other kinds of things I could do but it was too late, I woke up for real. I was actually sleeping in nearly the same position, except that in my dream my hand was over my mouth and nose, so when I woke up it was almost as shocking when I realized I was awake because my hand was no longer where I thought it was.

I guess that makes me a student, although I'm closer to a beginner, and I am definitely a newbie.
Hopefully, this will be beginning of a long and fruitful experience.

      I'd say student
although I never knew it was a "lucid dream" at the time
most dreams I've remembered, I remember them only from where I realized I am dreaming
in which case I have a wee bit of control
there were 3 dreams I can remember in which I had a pretty good bit of control

this is something I've always loved, infact it's why I sleep so much, in hopes I'd have a dream like this
this site will hopefully let me get better at this sorta thing
I'm glad I already have a feel for it too
I'm ashamed of what I did for a klondike bar...

same, i can control dreams because of my vast complex imagination that i have always had.
can u make things up in your head when your awake? this could help us understand how lucidity works. if you can controll and monipulate stuff in your head when consios, what can you do when asleep when most controls in the brain say "stuff it im sleeping"

This is really cool! I never thought of labelling myself as a way of determining where I am in terms of my spiritual growth. But I find this very inspiring. According to your definition I am currently a Lucid Master on the path toward becoming a Lucid God (I started very young). I am loving every step of the way

Yes it is true. When dreaming there is little that isn't possible. The dream state is like a realm where physics as we know it does not apply. The only limitations are those set by your mind. I'm sure this has been used as an example before, but in the film; The Matrix, after doing battle with Neo in the fight simulation, Morpheus commands that the jump program be loaded. He proceeds to jump from the top of one building, across a huge street to another building on another side. The lesson was to teach Neo how to free his mind. The same applies in the dream state. Any stunt you have seen performed on tv, you can execute with your mind in the dream state and so much more. It's a matter of letting go of thought patterns that are redundant in the dream realm.

My bad, I didn't have a clue what dream incubation meant when I wrote this. I am a Lucid God. I've been dream incubating and inducing for almost 20 years now, just never thought to actually do any research on it.
