For you I'd say Lucid Scholar. Dream Control counts as very low level lucidity to me. (since you don't know you're drreaming) |

this actually happens to me quite often, even when i was little. i never knew there was a name for it. my very first recollection was when i was five. i was having a nightmare where i looked under my bed and saw an evil clown and for some reason i told myself: this isnt real this isnt real. i KNEW for certain that i was dreaming. but here is my problem. i have yet to experiment with my lucid dreams. because always, as well as my first instance, i become physically paralyzed. i panic. im afraid i may not ever wake up- that i might slip into a coma. ive studied this a bit, and my psychology teacher says that during REM, large muscle groups become paralyzed which is exactly what happens. i have control over my toes or fingers, and actually the other day, i was having one where i was almost awake during an LD and i could see things in my room, when this mardi gras mask i have hanging on my wall warped into an evil spirit-type face and was heading toward me. this is the first time ive been able to move my entire arm. i was waving my arm in the air while i was lying down and i could barley see my arm because it looked like it was flapping like a humming bird. but i could feel it moving. and always when i have these LD's i break out of the paralysis with a violent jerk that sends my head whipping to one side or the other. is this normal? i dont know. i try to explain to people around me what i mean, but i dont think they understand it. they say wow what a crazy dream. but i am NOT dreaming! i know im awake....somehow. im just glad i finally found a term for it. anyone have anything they can comment or help me with? |

What if some one used to be a frequent lucid dreamer, but now rarely lucid dreams. What should that person be called then? |

Is there room for a returning lucid dreamer? I recall having a lucid dream years ago, but I haven't remembered a dream in years. And the kind of dreams I've remembered these last two nights suggest to me that my imagination has no practice making dreams and is not doing a very good job of it. So, I lost it and I'm coming back after a long time. |
