Repeat Dream, Wont Leave!

I keep having this dream where I come home and my mom asks me if Im high, and Im not, but I end up acting like Im high and being falsely caught. This dream is really annoying, and scary at the same time. It feels like when I have a dream about running away from someone with a gun but I can only run like Im underwater. I need to flush this dream/nightmare out! P.S.-have not been getting high recently, mom recently asks this question

Hi, welcome to DV! Sometimes, when we have a recurring dream, it's because we aren't paying attention to whatever message is within the dream, so it keeps coming back. For years i had a recurring dream about drowning...i put that down to my reticence to dealing with human emotions, mine and everyone elses. Once i got in touch with myself, and learned to understand people around me, it got better. Your dream sounds like an anxiety thing. Are you maybe anxious to do the right thing in life, and therefore you have dreams about doing things that you shouldn't? Things that would make you feel guilty if you were to do them in real life? Also, perhaps you could tell us a little bit more about yourself. By looking at yourself, you can often find what a dream means to you. Hope this helps. Anxiety Dreams are actually good things. Students who dream of not having studied for Tests typically are good at studying. People who dream of being late for work are typically very good about never missing work. Anxiety Dreams work. Once people are made aware of these problems in their dreams, they typically learn their lesson and are rarely guilty of doing what all their Anxieties are about. Perhaps the anxiety dreams will lesson once you can truly convince yourself that you no longer need Anxiety Dreams to keep you from doing drugs. Make an Oath that you will not get high again, at least not while you are still living with Mom, and I have a feeling those dreams will no longer think themselves necessary.
