      Seeking Tips to Dream Recall

      Hello all.

I recently stumbled upon the Dream Views website by accident, however I was quickly enthralled by the deeper understanding and techniques presented to recall a person's subconcious adventures.

I for one just finished reading the website in it's entirety minus the forums of course. I am eager to start dream recalling as I drift off to my slumber tonight and I thought I might just come on here to say hi.

If it is not too much trouble would anyone care to enlighten me with any tips or stimuli that may help me embark on this new adventure into Lucid Dreams? I plan on setting up a notepad close to my bed in easy access, and recording each thought or experience I have after coming to consciousness.

So have any higher ups ever used any stimuli to invoke better occurances, such as candles or soothing music, even just the window open with a fresh breeze? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

      Regards,

      Hello and welcome.

      Tips from a professional amateur:

When you wake up, immediately write down what you can remember. Even if its just a sentence. I find that the more I write, the more I can remember.

If you really can't anything at all, go through a list of possible reminders. Like school, work, family, friends, enemies, tv, music, games etc. or things that are more specific to you.

      Good luck.

      Welcome, echo!

Sounds like you're off to a good start by reading the info on the DV main site, and preparing to journal your dreams. As far as actually inducing lucid dreams, I suggest you start by trying the MILD and WBTB methods. They seem to be the most successful for the widest variety of people, myself included.

Still awake, had things to do

I think I will spend a week or two actually recalling dreams I have, just to get things working as stated on the DV site. Then i'll move onto more advanced techniques. Thanks for the linkage to LD methods, will read once I wake

Now I am actually going to sleep. AVAST!
