      so i tried to dream....

ok, i saw this website on another forum and i decided to give it a read. a couple paragraphs in to the introduction and i was set on reading the website, so last night i decided to try to get a real good dream going. so i went to bed a little early, set my alarm for 3:00am, put a pad of paper and a pencil right over the button where i need to turn my alarm off. i fall asleep. this is the tricky part, i can vaguely remember the alarm going off, then i vaguely remember writing something down, turning off the alarm, then falling asleep instantanously. i have the exact same dream i wrote about (something about me being in the desert and racing motorcycles against guys in tights[no, im not gay].....) a couple seconds after i fall asleep. so i wake up this morning, look at the pad of paper. and it's in the exact same spot where i left it, pencil still there. and there's nothing written on the paper.... yeah..
so i've been trying to remember exactly what i was dreaming/doing. i swear i remember hearing the alarm, and then writing something down. but me turning the alarm off is really hard to remember. everything after that is just a complete blur.(except the part about the motorcycles in the desert..)
      im a dream nub.

      Welcome, Ssoup!
That is excellent! You were trying to increase recall by writing down your dreams. What you had was called a FA, meaning that you think you wake up, but you are actually still dreaming.
Also, were you aware you were dreaming at all?

Sometimes that can be really fun, but you don't have to control the dream to be aware you are dreaming.
