      Hiya again :)

Are there any other ways to start having lucid dreams besides the reality check? Also how would the reality check work? you do one in your dream and then you recognize your doing it and become lucid? I have just started and am really eager to be in control of my dreams so any suggestions will help

all our lives we've fought this war. Tonight i believe we can end it. Isnt that a chance worth fighting for? Isnt that a chance worth dying for?

You could try WILD. I find it a little harder, but it works. As for reality checks, yes thats how they work. If you do a RC and realize that you can't read a clock or you are able to put your hand through the wall, then you know your dreaming and you have the potential to become lucid.

If you do RCs regularly, then you will do it in a dream and something will be off. Then you'll become lucid.

Don't get too excited though. Or you won't fall asleep.

      First, WELCOME!!!

Second, check out the FAQ and tutorials like Lowercase said. You have to find what works best for you though. At first I only relied on RC's and it worked a couple of times. For me RC's don't always work. It seems though that I have an easier time controlling dreams than most people. You may or may not have an easy time with either lucidity or dream control, so don't get upset. If at first you don't succeed, try harder. Trust me, it is worth it.
