      Beginner...

      Hi!
Im new in this forum, and i want to have lucid dreams. I know it's difficult, but i want to try hard.
I visited this site for the first time for a few days ago.. I read all the tutorials, and so on.
The next morning i remebered a dream. It was beginners luck ,couse i'm not good at remebering dreams. It was a short dream, but when i wrote the dream down, i remebered another dream that was way longer and stranger.
I wrote it all down and found my possible dreamsigns and all the other signs. (Action, Form, and so on).
Is it true that we dream about 5 dreams each night?
Couse after i woke up today, i didn't remebered a thing.. I tried to set a alarm clock to wake me up after 4 hours of dreaming, but that didn't work.
I've read all the tutorials, but i need more tips on how to remeber my dreams.. got any?
Is it normal to remeber minimum 1 dream pr. night?
And my clock rings every hour (in daytime), so i can check that i'm awake. This is a training i do every day. Am i doing it right? or have i forgot something important?
I know that this LD stuff takes time, but i want to be sure..

      First up, welcome to Dreamviews!

Depending on how long you sleep, you can have 5 dreams a night.
I find the best way for me to remember dreams is to write down the emotions that I feel when I wake up, they usually spark a memory of the dream.
It is normal to remember any amount of dreams a night, some people rememer 1, others none and some 5 even. It just takes practice remember them, that's all.
And yeah, you're doing it all right. Good luck.

Welcome to Dream Views. You are doing everything perfectly. When you go to sleep, try telling yourself that you will wake up remembering your dreams. Don't think about what you have to do tomorrow. Then, when you wake up lays till for a minute and just let the dream memories come to you before you write them down.

Thanx for all the answers, but do i have to use a clock to wake me up in the end of the REM's? Or should i just sleep and wake up by myself?

And i set my clock to alert me every 30 mins.. is this too much or are it just better how ofen you aks yourself "am i dreaming?" ?

It is all prerernece. Try it with the clock and then try it without. see what works for you.

Well, if you're waking up during the night to record your dreams, many people use an alarm clock. However, you can discipline yourself to stay awake to journal your dreams when you wake up during the night without one.

The main thing that will help your recall is practice. If you are consistently writing your dreams down, your recall will improve. A lot of people may actually find their recall very poor when they start trying to lucid dream, but it can all come back if they work hard enough. So, just keep at it and if you practice during the day, you'll have an LD in no time

      And welcome to Dream Views!

EDIT: Did you mean setting your watch during the day to beep every 30 minutes? If you can do a reality check whenever your watch goes off, then yes, that's an excellent idea!

Yep, i did mean reality checks. But is every 30 minutes too ofen? It says in the tutorial that you should do atleast do 21 reality checks (i think?) pr. day... or is 1 check pr hour enough?
