It is completely normal to hear music in your dreams. |

yeah but what is it? Why does the brain feel the need to throw in music that I;ve never heard? |

Well, when we dream our brain is sending out random electrical patterns all over. In dreams we try to make sense of the information, and in your case it comes out as music. I have listened to music in dreams and wrote it down when I woke up. Its pretty cool stuff. |

Music is a positive thing to experience in dreams. It means you have a special connection with the world and people around you. |

Music... hmm. Well, what does music mean to you in waking life? Often times, those randomly firing neurons will trigger connections that are most often used; so maybe if you connect music with, say, friends, or religion, or whatever, then that's what it's associated with. For me, music is associated with religion, leisure, and mathematics; so that'd be the significance of music in my dreams. Anyway, you're lucky; my dreams are so predominantly visual that I have to focus to experience any other sensory input. I've only heard music a couple of times. |
