I had a weird experience last night.

See, I did a combination that I do with a MILD and a HILD. It worked great the night before last. But last night, I had just played a video game, and I did that combination, but I just couldn't stay focused, therefore, I couldn't remember anything about my dream, not a single thing. The thing is I've been doing very well the past three days, since I started, but last night, just didn't go well at all. Is that it? Will I never be able to recall again? Or LD again? Or is it just one thing?

Sometimes, you don't get recall. it's nothing to get worked up about, it always comes back...sometimes, you can be too tired to remember.

Don't worry about it. It happens sometimes. I have amazing ( if i may say so myself ) recall. But, everything I try to WILD, I cannot remember a single thing from my dreams. I think some methods just don't mesh with some people at all. Just don't try that particular method again, and try something new

It's just one thing, trust me. I've been LD'ing since I was a kid (yeah, I'm a natural--feel free to throw things at me), and they come and go... sometimes they're really clear and absolutely controllable, sometimes I don't even catch on to really obvious dream signs and don't become lucid at all for a week or even a month. Heck, last night I had a lucid dream, and it took me nearly the whole day to gather the fragmented bits of it from my mind. I still don't think I have them in the correct order... and lucids are the easiest to remember!

Recall comes and goes, but once you've recalled one dream, you generally know the procedure, and one failure (or more) is no indication you can't do it again. It's like an athlete trying to run a four-minute mile: Sometimes you make it, sometimes you don't; but every time you try is good practice. Same goes for any dream technique: If you've done it once, you can do it again; and keeping on trying (without being too uptight about it--trying too hard messes things up sometimes) just provides more practice even if unsuccessful.
