      Newbie Intro

      Hi Folks,

Another Newbie Intro. My name is Gary, almost 30 from the Uk. I am very interested in pyschology and the mind and am always reading about all sorts of things. Came across this site and read about LDing although I had heard of it before. Since reading Dream Views I have had one dream in which I realised I was dreaming, upon realising it it felt as if I was merging with the dream and had a physical feeling all over, but then after a second or so I fell through the floor while trying to hold onto the dream, so it didn't last long but at least I realised I was dreaming in a dream so that is the first step it seems. Trying to do a dream journal and get a bit of recall and doing reality checks.

      Dream Journal is here: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24721
only two entries so far but will do my best to keep it up to date.

I have had many extremely vivid dreams in the past which I have been able to recall and woken up as if it had been reality and thinking that it had actually happened. I often wake up after having a dream and then go back to sleep and re-enter the same dream and then wake up and go back to sleep and go back to the dream again over and over sometimes 3 or 4 times. So maybe I will be able to utilise this.

Will keep my journal posted with dreams and any LD experiences.

I would be interested to see if LDing can be practical as I don't have much free time and maybe I could learn something in an LD. I wonder if an LD is just completely made up in the mind or if you can interact with something in the physical world. I would like to try and read a book that I havn't read yet in an LD and then when I woke up see if it was the same. Could be interesting.

Happy LDing to everyone, the messageboards are really interesting.

Welcome on board! So, you are interested in psychology also?

Myself as well. I am pondering an interesting thing dealing with that right now. I am sure you have heard of and understand sociopathy? Well, I am pondering the almost sociopathic behavior that many lucid dreamers have while in the the dream world. It seems that concience is checked at the door when a normally moral and conciencience person enters a lucid dream.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...
