      Is New

Well haha just found this site via a friend and decided to post. I have done a lot of reading on this site, and have found it simply amazing that so many people cannot lucid dream. I have been able to do this since I was very young just because it was "fun", and thought that everyone could until i found this site. I have also asked my mother if she had this ability and she does, is it a posibility that something such as this could be passed from parent to child. This may be a dumb question but i figured I would ask it here as well as just making an introduction about myself. Well haha byes

Welcome and yes i think it can be passed on from parent to child, especially children are easy to teach about dreaming and how to live with it since they are so open minded and unexperienced. Yet it`s also hard to teach because dreaming is so personal. I looked my eyes out when i found out so many people were sharing their dreams and ability in this community. I was cursed by reality which took the ability to ld away from me arround my puberty but now i`m trying hard to get what i once lost. Be proud on yourself for being aware like many here and see it as a blessing cause almost everyone wants to have the vivid fantasy of a child .

I used to have pretties piled up high in the sky! Don't remember where they are though, pretties...

      First up welcome to Dreamviews!

Can I just say how much I envy the fact that your a natural. A lot of my family are naturals too, mainly on my mothers side, so it does kind of suck that I'm the one interested in lucid dreaming.

So it could run in the familly, or it could be a coincidence. I once knew a girl who's mother taught her how at a young age, as to help her with nightmares.

My parents can hardly dream recall letalone have lucid dreams.
But me on the other hand, im obssesed with dreams and can lucid and recall with ease (not trying to boast)
i constantly annoy my parents with my strange obbsesion.
Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.

it would be interesting to see if the ability to lucid dream (without conscious effort) is genetically transmitted.

neither my parents, nor anyone in my family can lucid dream.

Welcome to Dream Views, Georgia-girl. 8)

Always nice to have another natural. I began to lose my ability to lucid dream when I was in high school, but ever since I learned that it was actually a skill that had so many people that could do it too, I've been practicing and getting back up to speed. Heh. Hope this place helps ya out like it does me.
