      HILD success!

Well, yesterday I did the HILD technique, without even thinking it would even work or not. I just did it to try it. Funny thing, my sister and mother were upstairs arguing and yelling at eachother while I was doing it, and I wasn't phased by them a bit, I just continued on. And the following night, I had FOUR distinct dreams. None of them lucid, but four distinctly different dreams.

But I failed in the manner of writing them down quickly, because I was so lazy in the morning. But I still captured most of what I dreamed about, surprisingly. It was really amazing.

Anyways, yeah, I'm new here. heh. I first started writing down dreams back in 2001, and have over 200 written down from then to now. Yeah, I should have a lot more, but I only wrote down the dreams I liked, or that made me feel good.

Of course now I'm almost into the habit of writing down every nights dreams, because I realize the importance of that for achieving lucidity.

Congratulations! Keep up the good work.

I did that, as well. I wish I had written more down, but I had no idea that there were such things as lucid dreams or that I could actually use my dreams.

Anyway... let us know if there's anything more we can do for you! We're here to help.

Just an update: I have had my now first lucid dream using the HILD technique. I had it last night, and I can't believe how fast this worked. It was absolutely amazing. In the dream, the first thing I did was look at my watch, look away, and look back. The time completely changed, and I was stunned in the dream. I'm so glad I found this site.

Congratulations!! It's awesome that you had one so fast! Have you posted it yet becuase I'd enjoy hearing about it.

Usually the second one comes even faster, but since you had one so soon I'm sure you'll do just fine.

I actually didn't think about posting it, because it was really short. But maybe I will later. It was so exciting, just all the possibilities.

So exactly how did you do the HILD? I've tried it a few times with little success, maybe I was doing something wrong though.

      Congratulations though
