      First ever lucid experience... WOW!!!!

Ok, I have read the website a few weeks ago and have been trying to casually improve my dream recall (i need to start actually writing entries into a journal).

Since then, I have had moderate success at recognizing that im dreaming within vivid dreams. But last I had a breakthough, let me explain...

I had a nice long vivid dream, things were going great, i could recognize i was dreaming and taking action in events, for example, I wanted to skateboard a steep slope, and i tripped and didnt feel any pain... it was a vivid dream, but still blurry, dark, and it was difficult to really see things around me. Then I walked into a small room, and as i entered, it felt as if i entered a vortex, making this weird sound 'wbruuuulpmmp' then suddenly I could see everything clearly, every little detail of the room i could see in clear colors, i could feel my body... it honestly felt as if i was reborn.. it felt like real life!!! it was like waking up within a dream... really cool sensation I immediatly was aware that i was experiencing a lucid dream, and i was so excited I woke myself up.

I hope I can have this experience again, all 5 senses were fully funtional. crazzzy!!!

      Congrats!

My lucid dreams were also much clearer after I'd gathered some intel about lucid dreaming from this site. Actually I think it's because you know what to look for (details etc.) Everyone wakes up at that first major clarity LD, or at least I did

First up, welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay.

Congratultions on your lucidity, so matter how brief it was it was still a huge step and one that you should be very proud of. It takes most people a while to get realistic feeling LD's so it seems that you're on the right track. Good luck in the future.
