      Hi all!

Hi, Im a new member, but not quite new to DV. I've been hanging around here for about a month and a half, just reading what everybody has to say.
I decided to wait to register until I had my first lucid, which took a while but I finally had my first last night. So totally worth it. I also realized how important RC's REALLY are.
Anyway, glad to finally be here and hope to learn and share experiences as I go along.

Thanks cocoastar. Well a few nights ago I had a dream in which I asked myself whether Im dreaming and used the counting fingers rc but I didnt focus enough and didnt become lucid. This was defenitively a good sign.

Next few days concentrated more when doing the rc during the day. In last nights dream it almost had a nightmare feel to it, which I dont usually have. I went to my kitchen and saw my dog sitting there, then when I turned around saw my dog again. Then realized there were two of him.

Dont know why but I started panicking, like something bad was going to happen. Just then I asked myself it might be a dream, counted my fingers and counted six. I tried to calm myself down and told myself to remember the dream when waking up. I jumped in the air and started floating toward the roof, put my hand up and my hand started going through roof. Thats when I woke up.

The last week I also put less pressure on myself to lucid. I decided just to have fun remembering any dream I have.

Wow, sounds interesting. I agree with you about the pressure thing. It is hard to become lucid if you think about it too much. I also enjoy just remembering any dream that I have.

Heh, I did the same thing. Good to do that. Next year this time you can use you're "joined date" and count that as your starting date with LDing. Keep track of how many you have in a year and build on that.

I'm sure if you've been reading posts on here for a while you've come across the importance of keeping a dream journal. It does get hard to keep up with one sometimes (I've been slacking on it myself) but if you can just get a collection of dreams for at least a few months you'll find that you'll get accustomed to remembering them. It's also kind of cool to have a little notebook with months worth of dreams - something to read on the shitter sometime

Well, looking forward to hearing more about your LD's

Thanks Tornado Joe, yeah I guess a dream journal and rc's go hand in hand. I do keep one, but also slack off sometimes. It really does help the recall.

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your first lucid dream! I find that just being on this site before bed gets me in the dreaming-frame-of-mind, and I have more recall and lucid dreams. Good Luck!
