      happened last night

Have been doing my research last two weeks, lots of reading on-line and a book Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge... 3 days into my Dream Journal and I had a Lucid dream last night... portion of my Journal :

I realize I’m dreaming, I keep myself calm, but everything is a little hazy. then I slowly look out the window and I see clouds in the sky, I notice the edges of the clouds moving like tree branches in the wind and the I truly realize this is a dream, this isn’t real and I know for sure I’m dreaming, it felt like a hazy foggy curtain opened up around me and there... my first reaction is to stay calm ( which I told myself to do before going to sleep )and slowly get up so I can see more out the window... I’m along the edge of the ocean to the right I see this beautiful sharp clear focused vivid scene around me with the wind gently moving... I see this giraffe looking animal slowly moving gracefully with white fur for a cost, I’m soaking it all in... It was amazing, I feel so happy that it’s happening to me... I slowly look around and see these other animals similar in fur but shorter and more dog like... looks like these buildings are running along the coast line... the intense blue sky with white clouds, the wind gently blowing across the wheat fields, the environment was so real, I felt excitement... I woke up with pleasure ... 4:50AM

I remember playing a little with this when I was in my early 20's but not seriously, now I am happy to rediscover it all over again... All I can say is WOW... I honestly didn't expect any Lucidity for at least a few weeks... I know this is only the beginning and I had no control over what I experienced, but still, WOW...

      I just had to share...

      Thanks for reading...

      Charles

Hey and welcome to the forum!
Excellent LD!! It can be very exciting to have a Lucid, whether you are in control of it or not. Just remember how you did it, and maybe even keep a dream journal.
And if you have any other questions, feel free to ask .

Welcome, Charles, to Dream Views! We're glad that you decided to join us and congratulations on the LD. It's different for everyone how long it may take them to have their first (or recent) lucid dream. You were one of the luckier ones.

Well, let us know if there's anything you need. Sweet lucid dreams!
