      Hello.

I realize that's not the most original topic name but I've been lurking around here for a week and just registered. Many questions have aroused themselves in my brain already but i'll them back. Except for one...

The facts of Lucid Dreaming sound like great fun...I've only done it once and that was when I was little (6-7 Years Old). Now i'm afraid. I've read some posts about the abnormal experiences and they're starting to freak me out. I realize nothing can happen to you in the dream state, but the idea of being paralyzed just freaks me out. So my question is...

Should I listen to the Lucid MP3 while I'm trying to WILD? Because I tried last night, and it scared the HELL OUT OF ME. I was so jumpy i couldn't concentrate on anything.

      Thanks!

      -Ben

      Welcome Ben!!

First ------> Do not be scared. This is nothing abnormal. There has been know one that has been hurt to my knowledge.
Use it as a learning tool. Not something to manifest fear.
And stick to general procedures to induce LDs. Skip the MP3 player for now. IN the Tutorials you will find a host of techniques!
Abnormal to them but not necessarily abnormal.

      Welcome Ben.

You might also check out Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LeBerge. I just got a new one off of Amazon.com for 5.00 plus shipping. It has the same techniques as in the tutorial's on this site. But it also has much, much more. It gets more into the why's and the how's of Lucid Dreaming. I just started reading it and it is pretty impressive. I have read the tutorials on this site and others, and I have read many...many posts. But this book definately is worth it.

      Check it out.

Oh and did you download that Mp3 off of this site? The one with the woman saying "You are dreaming...... Do a reality check....... You are dreaming....." With the waves in the background?
