In LeBerge's EWLD, there is an exercise called the intention technique:

1: Resolve to recognize dreaming.
2: Visualize yourself recognizing dreaming.
3: Imagine carrying out an intended dream action.


I fully understand steps 1 and 2. My question has to do with number 3. In the book it says to pick a dream action such as flying. But from reading the forums, it sounds like flying is not something that beginners are very good at. Some people can't do it at all, and it causes some to wake up immediately.

So, since I have never been lucid before, what would be a good dream action to try first? I guess I am looking for tips as to what a simple dream action would be for someone who doesn't know what to expect.
