New here, but exp. at lucid dreams

      Hi everyone...

Just going to explain a bit about my experiences...

I am new here, but I guess you could say I am pretty experienced in lucid dreams.

I had a discussion with my sister about stuff like this last night... She has been reading up on it for some time. I knew nothing about it.

I thought my ability to control my dream was normal and it happened to everyone until then.

Lately, I have not had as many as I used to have a few years ago. Or maybe I just haven't though about it in a while.

I used to have lucid dreams pretty much every night, and remember most of my dreams in detail. This went on from a fairly young age.

I think I may have started doing it because I used to have nightmares, and I guess I must have practiced having control over my dreams without realising, to try and stop the nightmares. I also like to be in control of things in real life

I was not perfect at it, especially when I was younger I would slip up a fair bit and some times it was a struggle to have full control over my dream, but I guess practice made me a lot better over the years.

And once I gained experience, most of the nightmares stopped, unless I was really struggling for control.

This may sound strange, and I haven't read up a lot on all of this, and it's hard to explain, but I was able to kind of, rewind my dreams back to where I lost control, where something happened that I didn't want and start over.

While I guess I am fairly experienced, I never really tried to do strange things, other than flying etc... I rarely ever thought before I went to sleep what I wanted to do in my dreams.

This site has gotten me interested in trying a few things out, and seeing if I am as good as I used to be, or if I have lost it over time.

Sorry about the long and boring post

I thought maybe there were others on here like me, or maybe other that would find it interesting....

Thanks for listening if you got this far

      Regards.

      Hey, man.

There are a few of us around here with pretty much the same story, so you it won't be hard for you to find someone to relate to. I think nightmares have been pretty reliable in dialing up our awareness. It still does for many people, actually. If you don't already have one, a dream journal is a great place to get started.
