      Hello

Hello to all at Dream Views.
I am Andrea, i am 20 and from Scotland.
I have been lucid dreaming for about 5 years now.. I didnt actually know it was lucid till i looked it up , and this is how i found this place.
I can now manage to go into a lucid dream
I am aware that i am sleeping and so nothing can hurt me, if i was in a scary sort of dream, i just say to myself, 'i am dreaming'
I can also seem to control what my dream will be about. Sort of like, when i know i am going into it, i can say to myself maybe 'Going to Spain' or something, and i can control it, and i end up going to spain in my dream...

I would like to learn more about dreams. I have a book about them, and would like to research into them more.
I am going to start a journal too, see if there is anything in my dreams.

Thanking you for making such a great forum.

Hope to chat to you soon.

      Andrea x

Hello Andrea, welcome to the forum!

Starting a journal is a great idea! You'd be shocked how many more dreams you remember this way.

      Hope to see you around.

Remember, no matter how stupid and vauge the memory may be, write it down. It'll help, a lot. If you only remember one decond of the the dream, a name or a smell, anything. Every little helps.

Kind of funny that you can almost perfectly control your dreams and get lucid with no effort, but still have problems with recall... It's cool though, recall is probably the easiest thing about lucid dreaming.

Lucid Dreaming is Knowing you are in a dream... right?/
So, if it is, the i always seem to have lucid dreams nearly the same..

I always get confused.. So if you can control it, is this lucid too ?

One of the dreams i have is.. where i am lying in bed and can see everything around me, it seems like i am not sleeping but i always know i am.
I could try and walk away in these dreams or do something, like put a t-shirt on or something, but when i wake i am just as i was.. in my bed..

Like last night for example. .I was in bed with my b/f and i was sleeping, i went into one of these dreams, and i could see him and me, and everything else. I was lying down, and i was looking around me.. I saw a black thing on my leg, like i thought it was a spider at first, i really wanted to wake myself up to see if it was; because i'm scared of them; but i couldnt. These dreams i am in for a while. When i woke up i never thought anything about (the spider) lol .. but later on i noticed a thread lose and then i realised this must have been the thing i saw in my dream.. I didnt even know it was there.. It was only in my dream i saw it.
One time also i have had the tv on, and went into one of these dreams, i am aware i am in the dream, i can hear the tv, (not that i know if thats what its saying or not)
      ....

Sometimes also i be in a dream, and am scared of something, then i think, this is a dream, no need to be scared.. and then i am not.

So how could you control a dream if you didn't know you are dreaming? You can make decisions in non-lucid dreams but you aren't really aware of the situation. Controlling a dream and making things happen means, quite often, that it is a lucid dream
