      Im scared...

So i decided, against my better judgment, to try the wild technique. I lay down in bed and slowly calm down, i then remember reading that focusing on that ringing sound in your ears that is always there can help induce lucid dreaming, so i do, and i gets louder. At this point i think "cool its working". After a couple mins of this slowly increasing ring sometihng happens that i cant explain, all of the sudden my eyes start violently twitching to the point where i can barely keep them closed. I sit bolt upright in bed, heart thumping and body shaking. Then i lay back down, thinking that it was just a one time thing, then it happens again more violent. I didnt try again. Can someone please tell what just happend to me. It totally freaked me out.

i didn't know much when i tried wild first time, so i didn't hear that your heart can beat faster (a lot faster) thats usually when SP starts (i think), from what i've read some people have mild vibrations and some people have violent shaking, i've only had a few twitches so far when i tried, but i read your eyes could twitch too, mine occasionally open a little bit, sounds like its working for you though, i'm still working on wild (been like 4 or 5 days for me) yesterday i was too tired and just fell asleep normally but i'm gonna try again tonight or take a nap sometime later today

      Hey there, Remus92.

Don't be scared, or freaked out. What you describe is totally normal, and not dangerous at all... it's actually kind of fun once you get used to it. Your eyes "violently twitching" is totally normal: what you can feel is REM... rapid eye movement. It happens all the time when you sleep, the only difference is that when you WILD, you are conscious at notice it. Your body shaking may be WILD vibrations, also totally normal, and your heart beating erratically is also normal for a WILD.

My advice: don't be freaked out. Instead, read through the tutorials about WILD and the stages of sleep, and familiarise yourself with all of the info... know what to expect.

It's not dangerous, totally normal, everything you felt... I wouldn't worry too much about it.

it's normal to be afraid during this

I agree not to be scared about this occurrence. I'm new to this site, so when i read the term " Wild" i'm assuming i know what it means by the way it is described. i will do more reading about the term. from the sounds of it, it sounds very similiar to the stage of ' Sleep Paralysis' i used to be very scared when it would happen to me. Now i would like for it to happen again, so i can make myself relax while it's taking place, and see if i'm capable of astral traveling. I was scared by the buzzing, and twitching as well. It is normal, so next time try to breath and stay calm, it may take some time.

ya, before i even knew about this site, i was looking for the answer to what happened that one night, similar to what you guys call WILD...i used my own breathing technique, and about 5 minutes i believe my left eye opened and wouldn't shut, it started to twitch, aftterwards i got it closed and for my question, is your mind spinning to the right normal?
only about 10 seconds later i sat up really fast, sweating profoundly and heart racing. any slight sound would make me jump...after all that i never tried agian

all of thee above was experienced, without any knowledge of WILD or anything, i googled my experience and came to this site. Before then i looked into Lucid Dreaming though.
